Mike Cully is a Chief Development Officer, mobility innovator, and executive leader with a career spanning broadcast journalism, global corporate operations, economic development, and public policy. Currently serving as CDO for EV Buddy Inc. — a disruptive electric vehicle company based in Edison, NJ — Mike brings decades of leadership experience to one of the most dynamic and fast-moving industries in the world.
A recognized expert in new and disruptive mobility, Mike has consulted widely in the EV and transportation space, helping organizations navigate the rapidly evolving landscape of electric vehicles, sustainable transit, and mobility-as-a-service.
His career began in broadcast journalism, where more than a decade in front of the camera sharpened his instincts for communication, storytelling, and public engagement. That foundation proved invaluable as he moved into global corporate operations at car2go — a Daimler AG company — where he rose to the global leadership team, managing 130+ employees across 15 North American markets and leading the launch of ten new cities.
Mike subsequently served as CEO of multiple chambers of commerce and economic development organizations across California, and as Executive Director of the League of Oregon Cities, advocating for more than 240 cities statewide.
He holds a BS in Business and Marketing from the University of the Pacific, an MBA from San Diego State University, and has completed executive education at the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford, the London School of Policy and the University of Southern California.
Mike is based in Portland, Oregon.
